Eleggua is the spirit of the beginning and end of life and the opening and closing of paths in life.  This Orisha is represented as a child and known as the trickster because he likes to play jokes and tricks on people. Eleggua is syncretized with Child Jesus of Atocha, Divine Child, Child of Praga, Saint Anthony of Padua and Lonely Soul.  Eleggua’s feast day is January 6th and June 13th.
