Spirit of the universe, I ask you for work, health and progress.
Accompany me where I will earn my
bread with the sweat of my brow,
may the angels accompany me
and speak for me where I am going to apply for a job.
Oh Spirit! Give me bread if I deserve it,
If not, it will be your will that decides my fate.
If I have denied bread to my brother having
had a chance to give him,
whether for work or charity,
forgive my ignorance and for having broken your law.
Though I promise to give bread to my neighbor
when I have the opportunity to help the needy;
because now I understand that giving
in your hour of prosperity
is to receive in your hour of need.
I implore you to guide me to the right job,
where my sweat is the one that provides
a home, bread and all the necessaries
that my family and I have.
With your blessing I know that
the right job will be presented to me;
the opportunity I require
to get out of the need I'm going through.
With the blessing of God and my Angels
Who guide and accompany me,
So shall be.
